Technical Project Manager

A client in the Houston, TX area is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their team. This person will be owning and driving the end to end delivery for PC related project initiatives, software solutions, including planning, execution, integration, and ongoing operations across multiple teams and technologies. This candidate will partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, and Quality to define requirements, manage scope, and ensure high quality, timely delivery. The role requires hands on technical leadership across design, coding, testing, and release, including resolving critical customer reported issues and integrating software from multiple teams and platforms. Using Agile methodologies, the individual drives innovation through proof of concepts, leads sprint execution, and mentors' engineers to deliver reliable, scalable, and customer focused solutions. This individual must have strong communication skills as they will be interacting with multiple groups and individuals. Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers a pay range of $40-45/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead)
3+ years of hands-on core software development experience
Previous experience working with PC hardware, drivers, and sensors
Strong expertise in multi-domain software development, including firmware, applications, operating systems, security, and manageability solutions.
Proven experience leading Agile software teams, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise.
Advanced programming experience in C++, C#, Core Java, and system-level development (C), with the ability to design, debug, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with client manageability platforms such as Microsoft SCCM or Intune, including plugin or extension development.
Experience working with AI tools and supporting AI related development projects
Program Management certification (PMI or equivalent) and formal Technical Program Management experience.
Background in automation framework design, firmware development, and PC hardware interfaces (BIOS, EC, WMI)
