Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: September 9, 2026
Location: Wichita, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 3:1 average patient ratio (5:1 for low acuity, team nursing for pediatrics)

• 52-bed Emergency Department with high patient volume and diverse case mix
• Comprehensive emergency care including IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric cases
• EMR: Meditech; Equipment: Alaris infusion systems
• Collaborative night shift staffing model: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod
• Travel assignment offering exposure to fast-paced, high-acuity emergency medicine
• Opportunity to work with an experienced, dynamic team in a modern diagnostic and emergency center

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Kansas (or eligibility for licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of current Emergency Department RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred: Experience in large-volume emergency departments (52+ beds), Meditech EMR proficiency, and prior travel nursing experience
• Strong commitment to patient experience and safety protocols, including barcode scanning compliance
