CHIEF DESIGNER

Base salary: of $8,300–$10,000 USD per month.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. (Hybrid work arrangement.)

Position Objective

Lead the design and development of synthetic leather materials for automotive interior applications, ensuring compliance with the aesthetic, functional, quality, and regulatory requirements of OEM and Tier 1 customers. The role is responsible for driving innovation and delivering high-quality material solutions that meet the standards of the automotive industry, particularly in the luxury vehicle segment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Materials Engineering, Textile Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Experience working with luxury vehicle programs is highly preferred.
• Experience with leather or synthetic leather materials.
• Proficiency in design and product development software.
• Strong understanding of automotive interior materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Valid passport.
• Personal vehicle.
• English proficiency required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of synthetic leather materials for automotive interiors.
• Develop innovative material concepts that align with customer requirements and market trends.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure successful product development and implementation.
• Work closely with OEMs and Tier 1 customers to understand design specifications and technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations.
• Evaluate material performance and recommend improvements to enhance product functionality and aesthetics.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to identify new opportunities for innovation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $8,300–$10,000 USD per month.
