With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of urology, from minimally invasive procedures to complex surgery and oncology.We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and clinically skilled Medical Appointment Scheduler/Operator to join our team.The Medical Appointment Scheduler/Operator is responsible for answering the phone and working with patients in person to schedule medical appointments, in addition to directing patient calls and taking messages using a multi-line telephone system.Essential Functions:Answer high volume incoming calls to coordinate and schedule patient appointmentsGreet incoming patients and schedule or reschedule appointmentsCollect patient personal data and insurance informationMake calls to reschedule appointments when necessaryAnswer questions and provide other information as requestedDirect calls to other departments and relay necessary messages to staff.Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.Requirements:Prior customer service experience in a healthcare settingPrior scheduling experience in a medical office settingAbility to consistently deliver excellent customer service with a patient-care focusExcellent communications skills, both verbally and in writingAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationComputer proficiencyHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)Experience:Medical Office: 1+ years (Required)Customer Service: 1+ years (Required)Computer Skills: 3+ years (Preferred)
