About the Role Signature Companies is looking for a Field Consultant to cover Western and Central Indiana. This independent contractor (1099) position allows you to work in an area of your choosing within your local community. The role involves scheduling and conducting on‑site high‑value property surveys, managing assignments independently, and completing timely web‑based reports. Experience in real estate, insurance adjusting, construction, or home appraisals is a plus, as is proficiency with CAD, Rapid Sketch, Xactimate or similar diagramming software. Responsibilities Work from a home office while making professional phone, email, and in‑person interactions with homeowners, insurance agents and other stakeholders. Drive to and conduct on‑site property surveys on high‑value homes following customer‑specific guidelines. Identify and document construction materials, characteristics, and unique features. Obtain measurements of the home and other structures. Generate an estimated replacement value and identify major hazards. Communicate findings in Loss Control 360 accessed through the Signature website. Manage workload and complete assignments within your own schedule. Requirements and Tools High level of professionalism. Strong oral and written communication skills. Smartphone, tablet and Windows‑based PC. High‑speed internet and a digital camera or smartphone with 16‑MP camera or greater. Measuring devices (laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel). A late‑model reliable vehicle and auto and general liability insurance. BA or BS degree desired but not required. Prior inspection experience on residential homes desirable. Loss control experience desirable. Prior underwriting experience desirable. Construction experience desired but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
