Your future role at a glance Location: Pendleton, IN Facility: Ascension Medical Group, clinic Department/Specialty: Primary Care Schedule: Days | Full-time | Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (This position will also travel to Yorktown 2 days/week) How you'll make an impact in this role Assist providers and nurses with patient treatments and clinical procedures while maintaining a sterile and organized examination environment. Conduct patient interviews to document medical histories, chief complaints, and accurate vital signs within electronic health records (EHR). Document real-time provider encounters, including the transcription of diagnoses, symptoms, prescriptions, and follow-up care instructions. Process and track clinical orders for laboratory tests, radiology imaging, and medications as directed by the healthcare provider. Manage essential front-office duties, including medical filing, phone triage, and the procurement of clinical supplies to ensure seamless clinic workflow. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Medical Assistant obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job‑specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
