Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department - Night Shift
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night 3x12-Hour Shift (19:00 - 07:00)
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-level care in the Emergency Department, managing a diverse range of cases, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
- Perform triage, assessing patients' conditions promptly and accurately.
- Provide care for patients with critical and urgent conditions.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and vital signs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and prepare patients for procedures.
- Implement infection control measures and safety protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting, preferably in Emergency or Trauma.
- Current West Virginia or Compact RN License required; pending license accepted for submission.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience with Cerner charting system is required.
- Must provide at least 2 managerial or charge nurse references from the past 2 years.
