Senior Chargehand (Ringwood Depot) We are looking for a senior chargehand to manage daily collection rounds, loading, driving and supporting the depot supervisor at Ringwood Depot. The role supports staff staffing, collection round planning and occasionally assists other depots across the district. Job Details Salary: £31,161 – 34,654 per annum (pay award pending) Contractual hours: 37 per week Basis: Full time Region: South Job category/type: Waste & Recycling Date posted: 04/06/2026 Responsibilities Help the New Forest keep clean and tidy by organising staffing and collection rounds, ensuring a professional and reliable system is in place daily. Work on collection rounds, loading and driving, support the depot supervisor, deputise in his absence, and adapt to daily changes within the service at your depot. On rare occasions support other depots to ensure the service is completed across the district. Qualifications You will ideally hold a LGV Class 2 licence and current CPC certificate, or be willing to achieve this within 12 months of appointment if successful.
