Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerSpringfield, Oregon, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$2,842.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a CVICU night shift position requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year of recent ICU experience and prior CVICU work history.DetailsCVICU setting within a Level II Trauma Center hospitalNight shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)Patient ratio of 1:2Floating required between CVICU and NTICU, as well as to Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, surgical, ortho/med), Observation, and ED boardingOccasional floating to University District facility may be requiredEpic EMR system used for chartingMust be willing to work any and all days including weekendsNo on-call requirementsPatient population includes open heart, MI, trauma, neuro, post-surgical, sepsis, DKA, GI bleed, and overdose casesUnit performs procedures including chest tube insertion, central line and PICC placement, bedside tracheostomy, intubation, and cardiac cooling catheter managementRequirementsActive RN license (Washington state) or proof of license application requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredNIHSS certification requiredMinimum 2 years of RN experience with 1 year of recent ICU experience (CCU, CICU, or CVICU)CVICU experience required in work history1 year of Epic EMR experience requiredExperience with arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration requiredExperience with ventilator management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT) requiredExperience with cardiac and vasoactive drip titration requiredExperience managing dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure requiredTwo professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisorSSN and date of birth required for considerationPrior travel nursing experience preferred, with 2-3 completed assignments preferredAdditional InformationProvide critical care nursing support for complex cardiovascular and multi-system ICU patientsServe as backup for Hospital Cardiac Arrest Team, Rapid Response Team, and Massive Transfusion TeamCollaborate with care teams on advanced interventions including Impella, IABP, CRRT, and cardiac cooling protocolsFacility is a nonprofit, Level II Trauma Center with 385 staffed bedsScrub color is unrestrictedFree parking availableLocal candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facilityPrevious PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a travel RNRTO is limited, with no more than one week of approved time off during the assignmentManager requires full commitment to all 13 working weeks of the contractFully vaccinated status must be disclosed at the time of considerationHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
