Parts & Inventory Specialist

Job description
• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Prepare and organize the inventory storage area with adequate shelving for the storage of the stock purchased.
• The shelving should be identified with Bin Location labels for the efficient put-away and picking of the stock.
• Establish an area dedicated for handling the supplier packages, carton, crates of the inventory purchased or transferred from other branches. This area would handle the processing of the packing list to verify the accurate receipt of the inventory to be matched against the original PO.
• Efficiently put-away the stock into the designated Bin Location shelf.
• Notify the system of any back ordered inventory.
• Establish a timely Inventory Cycle Count schedules so that all the inventory is counted several times during a 12 month period.
• Conduct the counting and correction of the inventory appearing on the daily Negative Inventory Report within 1-2 days.
• Review overstocked inventory for return to the supplier; or, transfer to branches having a shortage of this inventory.
• Stock should be removed from the warehouse using a picking ticket, work order, or other document. The system must be notified soon after of the removal of the stock.
• Insist on a clean warehouse; absence of trash, empty boxes, and general clutter to eliminate any hazards.
