Activity AideJoin Our Team at Allure of Peru - We Are All Family!We're seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team at Allure of Peru, a skilled nursing and healthcare center dedicated to providing exceptional care and a warm, welcoming environment for our residents. As an Activity Aide, you'll play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs that promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of our residents.Responsibilities:Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs and quality assurance programs for the Activities DepartmentObserve resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement to evaluate facility activities and resident progressDevelop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to ensure seamless daily activitiesCreate a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility, promoting a positive and calm environmentAssist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs, recommending equipment and supply needs as neededMaintain confidentiality of resident care information, following facility guidelines and treating residents with dignity and respectRequirements:Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferredPatience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with the ability to handle residents of varying maturity levelsAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageBasic math skills and ability to use a calculatorWeek days varies between 8am-4pm and 930am - 530pmEvery other weekend 8am-4pmPhysical Demands:Ability to move intermittently throughout the workdayAbility to cope with mental and emotional stressAbility to function independently and work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agenciesAbility to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile peopleAbility to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 poundsWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly rate of $15 - $16Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of othersCollaborative and supportive work environmentProfessional development and growth opportunitiesHow to Apply:If you're passionate about creating a positive and engaging environment for seniors, we'd love to hear from you!
