We are seeking an experienced Meat Manager to join the team at our successful store. As a Meat Cutter/Manager, you will be responsible for operating the meat department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the store’s meat merchandising plan. The Meat Cutters/Managers goal is to drive sales within the meat department and maximize profitability. Responsibilities
- Cut and trim meat using knives and power equipment
- Package and display meat in an attractive manner
- Order inventory and maintain appropriate levels of stock
- Receive and inspect meat as it arrives to the store
- Ensure the cold chain is unbroken and meat remains high quality
- Follow high standards of sanitation and quality control
- Mange the department for profitability
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma/GED required
- Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools
- Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs
