Executive Director of Special EducationLincoln Park Public Schools is seeking an Executive Director of Special Education. This position requires meeting Michigan Department of Education requirements for Director of Special Education approval under MARSE Rule 340.1771, either Full Approval or eligibility for Temporary Approval. A Master's degree or higher is required, along with at least three years of successful professional practice or administrative experience in special education. The candidate must possess full approval or endorsement in at least one area of special education and hold a Michigan School Administrator Certificate or appropriate permit/credential. Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, are essential. The duties include designing and coordinating special education and intervention programs, developing progress monitoring systems, providing professional training and coaching, ensuring compliance with IDEA, MARSE, and County Guidelines, managing budgets, and supervising all center-based programs.
