Nursing AD Instructor - Community College Faculty

Position Overview Riverland Community College is hiring a Nursing Academic Dean (AD) Instructor to teach on the Austin campus. The instructor will deliver instruction in traditional, virtual, or multimodal settings and will manage classroom and online learning environments. Responsibilities Instructional planning and delivery of nursing courses. Teaching and facilitation of student learning in classroom and online settings. Curriculum planning and development. Assessment of student performance and documentation. Classroom management and maintenance of teaching standards. Maintenance of professional skills and credentials. Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, and college‑wide committees. The instructor must work cooperatively with faculty and staff, demonstrate knowledge of assessing student learning outcomes, participate in departmental and college committees, and engage in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Graduate degree in nursing or a related field (or bachelor’s degree in nursing plus a graduate degree in nursing or education). Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Minnesota and current registration. Two full‑time years of verified paid RN experience at the professional level (or equivalent). One year of work experience within the last five years; this requirement is waived for candidates with two years of recent postsecondary teaching experience. Completion of the Teaching and Learning Competency Requirements within six semesters of hire; waiver possible for candidates with education credentials, equivalent coursework, or three years of postsecondary teaching experience. Preferred: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), experience teaching all nursing levels, data collection and continuous improvement analysis, simulation and nursing skills labs, and curriculum development. Bilingual/multilingual proficiency in languages such as Spanish, Karen, Somali, Pohnpeian, French, Nuer, Anuak, or others reflecting the student body. Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations. Salary and Benefits Academic salary range: $43,067.00 to $98,660.00, with an initial range up to $71,893. Full‑time faculty serve a 171‑day contract over a nine‑month academic year (mid‑August to mid‑May).
