Franchise Business Coach
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - five-day workweek regular travel to Hammer & Nails Shops. The Hammer & Nails Corporate Office is based in Denver, CO.
Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Franchise Experience: Required.
Position Overview
Hammer & Nails Grooming for Guys is seeking an experienced Franchise Business Coach to partner with Franchise Owners and Shop Managers to support Shop growth, improve business performance, and strengthen operational execution.
The Franchise Business Coach will work directly with Franchise Owners and Shop leadership to understand their businesses, identify opportunities, review performance, and develop actionable plans that improve revenue, profitability, membership growth, and the Guest and Member experience.
This is a highly engaged, field-focused role that combines business coaching, operational support, performance analysis, and relationship management. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with business owners and operators, is comfortable using data to identify opportunities, and can turn business insights into practical actions that improve Shop performance.
Key Responsibilities
Franchisee Coaching & Business Performance
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Franchise Owners and Shop Managers.
- Conduct regular business reviews and coaching conversations focused on Shop performance and opportunities.
- Review KPIs, scorecards, P&Ls, and other performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coach Franchise Owners on strategies to improve revenue, profitability, membership growth, retention, labor efficiency, and overall Shop performance.
- Help Franchise Owners establish clear priorities, action plans, and measurable goals.
- Follow up on commitments and provide ongoing coaching and accountability.
Shop Operations & Field Coaching
- Conduct regular Shop Visits to evaluate performance and provide hands-on coaching.
- Coach Franchise Owners and Managers on operational execution, staffing, productivity, sales, membership, and the Guest experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve the complete Guest journey, including the Shop Tour, service experience, membership presentation, and Member retention.
- Reinforce Hammer & Nails Brand Standards and operating expectations.
- Identify performance or operational gaps and partner with Franchise Owners to develop solutions and appropriate follow-up.
The objective of every Shop Visit is simple: leave the Shop better than you found it.
Growth & Franchisee Support
- Support Franchise Owners in developing strategies to increase Guest traffic, membership, retention, and Shop revenue.
- Help identify whether performance opportunities are driven by marketing, sales execution, staffing, operations, or other business factors.
- Share best practices and successful strategies from across the Hammer & Nails network.
- Support new Shop openings and provide increased coaching during the opening and stabilization period.
- Help Franchise Owners effectively utilize Hammer & Nails systems, tools, programs, and resources.
Corporate Alignment
- Serve as a strong representative of Hammer & Nails Corporate when working with Franchise Owners and Shop teams.
- Support the implementation and adoption of Hammer & Nails initiatives, programs, and Brand priorities.
- Partner with Operations, Training, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Supply Chain, Development, and other Corporate resources.
- Communicate Franchisee needs, business trends, opportunities, and significant performance concerns to Corporate leadership.
- Maintain consistent follow-through and communication with Franchise Owners and internal partners.

Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in franchise operations, multi-unit operations, field operations, business coaching, or a related role.
- Franchise industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience coaching business owners, managers, or multi-unit operators.
- Working knowledge of P&Ls, KPIs, and the financial drivers of a business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence and create accountability without direct authority.
- Comfortable having candid performance conversations while maintaining productive relationships.
- Experience in service, hospitality, retail, membership, or other consumer-facing businesses preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Travel
This is a field-focused position requiring regular travel to Hammer & Nails Shops. Travel may also include new Shop openings, training events, regional meetings, and the Hammer & Nails Annual Franchise Conference.
