Literacy Teacher

The Reading Specialist Teacher provides instructional leadership and targeted support to strengthen literacy achievement for all students. This position works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, interventionists, and families to implement comprehensive evidence-based reading instruction, analyze student literacy data, provide intervention support, and promote effective practices aligned with the science of reading. The Reading Specialist supports classroom teachers through coaching, modeling, collaborative planning, and professional learning to ensure high-quality literacy instruction across grade levels. This role also assists with identifying student reading needs, monitoring progress, coordinating interventions, and ensuring that reading supports are responsive, equitable, and aligned with division and school improvement goals.
