This role requires strong hands-on maintenance knowledge, good judgment, and the ability to organize work, set priorities, and build a more proactive maintenance program in a manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Manager will work closely with the production team and will report to the Plant Manager.What You'll Be DoingWith the use of digital tools, your experience, and industry standards you will…Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance, repair, installation, and improvement work for equipment, machinery, and facility systemsMaintain property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through development and implementation of preventive maintenance programEnsure all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specificationsSupport the safe and reliable operation of facility systems, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systemsInterface with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requestsInterface with appropriate staff/managers, engineers, and outside contractors to review and/or develop renovation and new construction plans, coordinates communication with and work of outside contractorsEnsure all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected; ensure property is following all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulationsSupervise and assist staff in the maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and property as neededPossess and maintain thorough knowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws; implement OSHA and ADA guidelines and programsPossess and maintain thorough knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skillsContribute to capital planning and supervise the installation of approved capital equipmentHire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop maintenance staff; manage schedules and workflow.Assign duties and monitor quality of work; ensure staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and safety regulations.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.Experience and Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, OR three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceCertificates, licenses and registrations required:Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) preferredComputer skills required:HR/People management softwareSpreadsheet Software (Excel/Google Sheets)Contract Management systemsInventory SoftwareOrder Processing systemsProject Management softwareWord Processing software (Word/Google Docs)Electronic Mail Software (Google)Presentation software (PowerPoint/Google Slides)MMS (Maintenance Management Software)Desired SkillsThree to five years of maintenance management experience.Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.Working knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment.Ability to keep track of and report on activity.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.Excellent management and supervisory skills.Aptitude in robotics and automation (preferred)Experience in plant design (preferred)What We OfferPaid holidays and generous paid time offA supportive work environment built on collaboration, teamwork, and respectWeekly PayLife insurance plan at no charge to the employee.Quarterly Bonus Plan401(k) plan with company matchingBeing a part of the Tommy Gate TeamAt Tommy Gate, we foster a culture of collaboration where your ideas are valued and your growth is paramount.
