Cash Office Clerk

As a Cash Office Clerk, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with locating products, answering inquiries, and providing information about promotions or discounts
• Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases with cash, credit/debit cards or other payment methods
• Ensuring correct change is provided if it is a cash transaction
• Counting and reconciling cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift
• Stay informed about products, prices and promotions to effectively assist customers and promote sales
• Promoting store loyalty programs, discounts and or special promotions to encourage customer participation
• Efficiently bag and package customer purchase, ensuring items are handled with care
• Offering assistance to customers with carrying their bags or locating carts
• Resolve customer concerns or issues related to the transaction with a positive and helpful attitude
• Adhering to security measures such as checking identification for age restricted purchase and monitoring for fraudulent activity
• Adhere to all company safety standards
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, & holidays
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
• Must be 18 years of age due to nature of the work.

Schedule

• Must be able to work weekdays evenings and holidays
• Part time up to 25 hours a week

Pay:

• $16.94 but $17.50 after training completion

Experience

• Preferred: Cash handling experience
• Preferred: Basic math, reading and computer skills
• Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

Skills

• Physical abilities : May be required to lift up to 20-25lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc
• Strong communication skills : Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
• Organizational skills : Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Working in a team based environment : Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality
