CAD Technician

As a CAD Technician at Creative Environments, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate design plans. You will work closely with designers to develop and refine drawings, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and precision. Your role involves interpreting design concepts, making necessary revisions, and effectively communicating with team members to achieve project goals. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a dynamic team environment. Guidance and support from management will be available to help you succeed and grow in your role.Duties/Responsibilities:Collaborate with landscape designers to convert sketches into precise CAD drawingsUse CAD software to create visually engaging designs with efficient time usageDevelop detailed, accurate legends identifying all design aspectsMaintain communication with designers to verify information and provide updatesProficient in AutoCAD, Adobe PDF, email, word processing, and spreadsheetsApply mathematical skills to interpret design specifications accuratelyDemonstrate critical thinking to optimize outcomes for clientsRevise plans as requested by CAD Manager, Designers, ExecutivesLearn and implement standards set for all drawings in the CAD DepartmentImplement proper calculations needed to produce accurate legendsOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsRequired Skills/Abilities:Fundamental proficiency in CAD & AdobeAbility to create accurate and detailed design plans with precision.Working knowledge of pool & landscape design principlesClear and professional communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlinesAbility to identify and resolve design issues with guidanceAbility to work effectively as part of a team and take feedbackEducation and Experience:1-3 years experience as a CAD Drafter in an Landscape Architecture or Architecture firmAssociate's degree or higher in CAD, Drafting, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field is preferredRelevant certifications in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) are highly desirablePhysical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computerFrequent use of hands for typing, mouse control, and operating office equipmentExcellent eye-hand coordination and visual acuity to distinguish details in technical drawings and computer screensAbility to perform repetitive motions such as typing and mouse movementsAbility to stand, walk, & use stairs occasionally for site visits or meetingsAbility to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds, such as laptops, documents, and suppliesClear communication skills for discussing projects with team members and clientsComfortable working in a typical office environment with standard lighting and temperature controls #J-18808-Ljbffr
