Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse is a clinical practitioner responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the obstetric patient population. This role involves ensuring quality care is provided efficiently and safely, adhering to the unit's standards of care. The position is located in a healthcare facility within New Mexico, with an immediate start date and a schedule of nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) or higher education preferred, and at least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in labor and delivery.
• Responsibilities: Obtain and record initial assessments, develop measurable individualized plans of care, perform timely interventions, evaluate care plans, and participate in patient education and discharge planning. Demonstrates professionalism, communicates clearly with patients, families, and staff, and makes clinical decisions based on patient needs.
• Additional Information: The role involves backfill replacement for team members, with a focus on high-quality obstetric care in a fast-paced environment.
