Specimen Processor I
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in Knoxville, Tennessee to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis through accessioning, sorting, labeling, and data entry in a high-throughput clinical environment. The role operates Monday–Friday nights with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specimens for analysis and route to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Perform timely and accurate data entry of patient information
- Resolve and document problem specimens according to procedures
- Meet department activity and production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Pass standardized colorblindness test
- Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs
