Maintenance Technician 2

The Maintenance Technician 2 will be responsible for building maintenance and a range of basic repairs. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and maintaining small tools and equipment. Shift hours: 3:30 PM to 2 AM Monday-Thursday.

Core functions include utilizing advanced knowledge in diagnosing and repairing complex machines, collaborating with engineering to resolve maintenance issues, managing the CMMS system, assisting with inventory, mentoring maintenance technician I employees, rebuilding machines, tools and heavy equipment, and creating special tools to assist with production.

Qualifications and requirements include a high school diploma or GED, previous forklift experience, 3 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines, and basic computer skills. Competencies include adapting to changes, following instructions, resolving problems, observing safety procedures, assessing strengths and weaknesses, clear communication, and effective writing.

Supervisor responsibilities are individual contributor with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities. Physical requirements include heavy work, physical activities such as climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity is required to perform mechanical or skilled trades' tasks. Working conditions include inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
