Mechanic (1st Shift)

We are looking to add a 1st Shift Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic to our Phoenix location!! Pay starts at $28 per hour and will be commensurate with experience. Duties Maintaining bus and coach fleets for our Phoenix Location. 90% of work is located in Phoenix with 10% of travel necessary. Ensuring company has the safest of coaches placed in service, and they are free of mechanical defects with all installed equipment in working order. Conducting diagnostic, repair, and routine service of our fleet. Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Repairing electrical systems. Changing tires on buses and support vehicles. Other duties as assigned. Benefits package that includes medical, dental, and many other benefits. Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record. Preferred Commercial Drivers License with a Passenger and Air Brake endorsements or have the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Knowledge of basic computer function capabilities. Must be able to clearly communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Candidates must be able to pass a DOT physical and background check. Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems. Must be self‑motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively under time and budgetary pressures. Ability to utilize the time available to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Must be reliable, have good attendance and be punctual. Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities. Required Experience High School Diploma or GED required.
