Job Description: Bartender

Position Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Reports To: Manager on Duty

Position Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards. You'll provide excellent guest service, maintain a clean and organized bar, and ensure that every drink and interaction reflects the Cody's Original Roadhouse brand.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
• Greet guests, learn their names, and ensure a welcoming, personalized experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, and equipment.
• Monitor bar stock and assist with restocking and inventory management.
• Communicate specials, promotions, and menu items to guests.
• Accept guest payments and process transactions accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all local and state alcohol laws and company policies.
• Maintain side work and closing duties as assigned by management.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to provide seamless service.
• Uphold high standards for quality, presentation, and speed of service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What You Bring:

• A friendly, outgoing personality and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and standard drink recipes.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state law.
• Previous bartending experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and remain stationary for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Work in a fast-paced, busy bar environment.
