About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering with a focus on Cloud, Platform, and AI Engineering. The successful candidate will be part of a centralized engineering organization that plays a pivotal role in the firm's cloud modernization, platform engineering, and AI enablement strategy. This high-bar engineering environment is in need of experienced technologists who have a proven track record in building and operating scalable, business-critical systems at an enterprise level. The role demands a blend of strong software engineering fundamentals, architecture experience, and deep expertise in cloud and distributed systems. Applicants for this role should have a minimum of 9 years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in Python, and expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate will have a history of leading complex engineering initiatives, be adept at influencing architecture, and have the ability to mentor engineers and drive technical direction. Hands-on engineers who are close to design, development, and delivery are particularly suited to this position. The role offers the opportunity to work on greenfield and modernization initiatives with long-term strategic importance, and to shape engineering standards, architecture, and technical direction in a high-visibility, global-scale environment.
