Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Jeffersonville, Indiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/27/2026\n Duration: 14 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 27, 2026\n Length: 14 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for a Med-Surg Tele unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency.Details\n \n Work in a 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit\n Patient ratio of 6:1\n Mixed diagnoses patient population\n RN reads telemetry, no titration required\n CRN and discharge nurse on staff, with weekday pharmacist support\n Uses IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer equipment\n Day shift schedule, 6:45am-7:15pm, every other weekend required\n 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (IN or compact)\n Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required\n Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required\n Epic EMR experience required\n Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required\n Skilled in trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment\n Additional Information\n \n Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients\n Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs\n Supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as mentor/preceptor\n Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives\n Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model\n No local rate drop applies to this position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-754907.
