About the Position

Coastal Kids Autism Treatment Center is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our pediatric autism clinic in East Texas and help lead and grow our speech therapy program.

Our SLP will maintain a caseload of approximately 25 children , typically receiving two 30-minute individual sessions per week , for approximately 25 direct treatment hours weekly .

The remainder of the full-time schedule provides protected time for evaluations, documentation, treatment planning, AAC programming, insurance requirements, caregiver communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Unlike home health or traditional outpatient models, our clients are already on-site for daily programming . There is no driving between appointments, and our model provides excellent scheduling efficiency and opportunities for collaboration with the child's treatment team.

What You'll Do

• Provide individualized speech-language therapy to pediatric clients on the autism spectrum.
• Conduct speech/language evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Develop individualized, functional communication goals and treatment plans.
• Evaluate, customize, program, and support high-tech and low-tech AAC systems.
• Prepare clinical documentation and funding materials for speech-generating devices when applicable.
• Complete treatment notes, progress reports, plans of care, and insurance authorization documentation.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, RBTs, caregivers, and clinic leadership to promote communication throughout the child's day.
• Provide caregivers with practical strategies to support communication at home and in the community.
• Help develop and grow CKATC's integrated speech and AAC program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted Texas SLP license.
• CCC-SLP certification through ASHA.
• Pediatric experience required; autism experience strongly preferred.
• AAC experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with AAC funding, commercial insurance, and/or Texas Medicaid is a plus.
• Strong clinical documentation, organization, communication, and collaborative skills.

Why Join CKATC?

$90,000–$105,000 annual salary based on experience and qualifications.

Manageable Caseload: Approximately 25 active clients.

Approximately 25 Direct Hours/Week: We recognize that quality clinical care includes much more than face-to-face treatment.

Protected Clinical Time: Time is built into your schedule for evaluations, documentation, AAC programming, treatment planning, insurance requirements, and collaboration.

No Travel: All clients are treated on-site. No home-health driving or unpaid windshield time.

Consistent Schedule: Monday–Friday daytime schedule with clients already present in the clinic.

Collaborative Environment: Work alongside an established ABA team and help children generalize functional communication skills throughout their day.

Build Something Meaningful: Take an active role in developing and growing our speech-language and AAC services.

More than half of our team has been with CKATC for over a year, with several employees celebrating two or more years with us.

If you're an SLP who enjoys pediatric autism, AAC, interdisciplinary collaboration, and having enough time to do the clinical work that happens outside the therapy session, we'd love to hear from you.
