Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol in Palatka, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as utilities. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Tue 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Wed 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Thu 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Fri 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Sat 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout utility facilities, buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Monitor entry points, gates, and/or restricted areas while verifying access permissions and directing authorized individuals in accordance with location procedures. Support daily operations at the location by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with site contacts, and assisting with security‑related inquiries, inspections, and/or incident follow‑up. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
