About the Role:

Join Mueller Lumber Company as the order desk manager in Mitchell, SD, where you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and in house project support. Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the order desk, ensuring efficient processing of customer orders.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction levels.

Coordinate with sales teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

Monitor and analyze order desk performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and industry trends.

Support the sales team by providing timely information and updates on order status.

Inventory control and audit.

Requirements: Must have 3 to 5 years of construction experience or building materials knowledge

Proven experience in a managerial role within a retail or order processing environment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions.

Proficient in order management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Knowledge of the lumber industry is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Pneumatic tool use and repair helpful.

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management is preferred.
