Physical Therapist-Per Diem

Position Title: Physical Therapist-Per Diem Location: Mercy Hospital Washington, 901 E 5th Street, Washington, MO 63090 Schedule Per Diem – minimum of one Saturday/month; one holiday per year and as needed shifts during the week at IP or OP. Overview Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership, perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Perform duties in accordance with Mercy Service Standards. Responsibilities Perform objective assessments and individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Directly supervise patients and indirectly supervise rehabilitation technicians. Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Qualifications Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Licensure: Current or temporary license in the state of practice. Certifications: BLS certified. Certifications must be current prior to independent patient care. Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist; experience with care for adult and geriatric patients preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift. Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
