Warehouse Associate

Located at our Cottage Grove, MN location, the person in this position would assist with receipt, transfer, and storage of incoming freight, as well as picking and preparing orders for shipments in our Building Materials division. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Detail Oriented Unloading incoming freight, verifying product against enclosed packing lists, sorting material by end destination and putting away excess stock.
• Equipment Usage Using fork trucks and order picking equipment.
• Loading Products Loading outbound transfer trucks.
• Preparing Orders Accurately pulling customer orders and preparing material for shipment
• Safety Securing and labeling products for delivery
• Process Transferring picked orders to staging area for delivery per the delivery schedule.
• Open Communication Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of warehouse.
• Teamwork Performing other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
• Previous Fork Lift Experience

Required Skills:

• Strong communication skills
• Safe working practices
• Natural detail-orientation
• Ability to accurately pull orders and load/unload trucks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 75lbs.
