Accounts Payable Lead

Location: Edina, MN (this is a HYBRID 4 day/wk remote schedule requiring immediate and consistent time on-site in MN) Pay Rate: $30-$40/hr Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Local Minnesota/Western Wisconsin applicants only. Overview We are partnering with a well-established healthcare organization to support an Accounts Payable Lead opportunity. This role is ideal for a senior-level AP professional who enjoys leading through influence, improving processes, and helping elevate an accounting team. The ideal candidate brings strong operational AP experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to balance day-to-day priorities while driving long-term efficiencies. Responsibilities Coordinate day-to-day Accounts Payable operations and help prioritize team workload Serve as a senior resource for the AP team, providing guidance, training, and process support Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement more efficient workflows Support the optimization of recently implemented AP automation and OCR technology Review vendor statements, reconcile discrepancies, and assist with vendor master maintenance Monitor invoice processing accuracy and partner with internal teams to resolve issues Create and maintain process documentation while supporting cross-training initiatives Analyze recurring issues to identify root causes and recommend sustainable solutions Assist with reporting, vendor uploads, and other departmental projects as needed Qualifications 3+ years of Accounts Payable lead, senior-level, or supervisory experience Healthcare industry experience is a must Strong background in full-cycle Accounts Payable within a high-volume environment Experience driving process improvements and supporting operational change Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Comfortable mentoring team members and partnering with stakeholders across the organization Organized, analytical, and able to identify trends while maintaining strong attention to detail Why Work with Addison Finance & Accounting?
