Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join our team. Our facility offers a state-of-the-art environment with all private beds, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. The PACU nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, assessing their condition, and providing necessary interventions for optimal recovery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the PACU and provide care as needed.
• Administer medications and assist with pain management for recovering patients.
• Communicate with the surgical team regarding patient status and any complications.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1-2 years experience in an acute care facility.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
