General Manager

Job Description & Performance Expectations
JOB DESCRIPTION
The General Manager will ensure the members receive the highest quality of service and facilities. They will
exhibit an ability to achieve the financial targets for the club as outlined in the annual budget by motivating,
leading, supervising, and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in servicing our member needs. They
will demonstrate an aptitude and command of all company-wide policies and initiatives to ensure the integrity
of the Crunch brand. The General Manager is a salaried exempt position.

HOURS
• Monday - Thursday: 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
• Friday: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Saturday or Sunday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Hours can be changed and are dependent on the club's pacing to sales goals and community outreach events.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Sales & Revenue Management
• Achieve communicated monthly sales goals, membership and personal sales goals
• Maintain a club conversion of 60% or higher
• Close two or more perks partners each month
• Organize and lead two or more community events monthly
• Daily past due account collections and calls
• Ensure ongoing prospecting and generation of new prospective members
• Ensure the team maintains proper tracking forms and daily leads
• Ensure all promotions are effectively communicated to the team and all other appropriate staff
• Ensure the staff has a high level of knowledge about the club's programs, facilities, and equipment
• Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and manage the team
Personal Training & Revenue Management
• Achieve desired personal training revenue and session production goals
• Achieve desired revenue and production results through the leadership and motivation of employees
• Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and manage the personal training department
• Implement and support company programs and promotions to help generate new Personal Training client
acquisition for optimum member base penetration
• Facilitate integration of Personal Training products into point of sale presentations to maximize the number
of kickoff sessions scheduled
• Ensure the Personal Training team follows proper procedures
• Oversee the Fitness Director in ensuring all components of departmental objectives are satisfied

Financial Performance
• Exhibit an understanding of budgets and income statements
• Establish controls of expenses and purchasing of club supplies
• Display an ability to keep expenses at or below budget
• Demonstrate an ability to articulate variances in revenue, sales, and expenses versus budget
• Assist in the processing, submission, and approval of payroll
Leadership & Team Development
• Serve as a role model for employees
• Recruit and hire the highest possible caliber of staff
• Communicate effectively by holding weekly and individual meetings with all key club personnel
• Oversee, support, direct, and develop department heads
• Provide an inspirational environment that welcomes honest feedback from employees and take action to
ensure a quality working environment
• Encourage staff to work as a team and be productive
• Support personnel related problems or difficulties by following club procedure and documentation

Operations, Administration & Compliance
• Compliance with our uniform policy - crunch polo, black pants or shorts & crunch nametag
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all standard operating procedures and policies that pertain to the
club
• Communicate and implement club policies and procedures to employees
• Coordinate and work within club support functions of Fitness, Sales and Marketing, Accounting, and
Information Technology
• Resolve member complaints in an expeditious and tactful manner following club procedure and
documentation
• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the quality of service and care offered to
the members
• Ensure the club meets standards for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security
• Conduct weekly detailed inspection of the club utilizing a cleaning checklist
• Ensure visible maintenance items are repaired promptly, proper signage is posted, and out of service
equipment is removed from the floor when possible
• Track completion of opening and closing checklists

These duties and responsibilities may change at any time.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
