The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the actuarial strategy, which encompasses pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting. This leadership position requires a focus on driving profitability, ensuring reserve adequacy, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include overseeing rate adequacy, underwriting profitability, and loss trends, as well as directing reserve analyses and presenting recommendations to the leadership. The role also involves advising on reinsurance structure, enterprise risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance and actuarial governance standards. Applicants for the Vice President of Actuarial Services role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 10 years' of actuarial experience in P&C, with a specific focus on commercial casualty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, particularly in the areas of pricing, reserving, and forecasting, and possess an FCAS or ACAS designation. The role demands a professional with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in driving innovation in analytics, modeling, and reporting tools.
