Registered Nurse - Day Surgery

Location: Lewisville, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, on call required. Weekend shifts will be discussed during the interview.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Day Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will possess significant OR experience, including general, gynecology, orthopedic, spine, robotic, and vascular surgeries. Your role will be critical in providing high-quality, family-centered care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Provide post-anesthesia care in the recovery unit.
• Monitor patient vitals and assess for any post-operative complications.
• Administer medications and manage IV lines as required.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or day surgery setting.
• Active RN license in Texas; temporary licenses will not be accepted.
• Certification in ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Experience using Meditech is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a great smiling personality.
