Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) specialist is sought for a facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing pediatric surgical care in a high-acuity environment, with requirements for specific pediatric and trauma experience. The role includes on-call responsibilities and working with a specialized team in a comprehensive and recognized pediatric hospital.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 07:00 to 17:30, with on-call duties including one night per week, weekends every 6-8 weeks, and holidays as operationally needed.
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specified specialty, pediatric trauma experience, and specific clinical skills listed. BLS certification from AHA is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric operating room experience, trauma level I or II certification, and additional pediatric or ambulatory surgery experience are preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required as needed.
• Additional Information: Candidates must pass a strict telemetry exam with two attempts, demonstrating proficiency in identifying lethal rhythms and heart block questions. References are not required.
• Location: 1675 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. Parking permit may be required through UW Transportation. Transportation options include bus, park and ride, or private parking.
