In this role, you will support the analysis and assessment of Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) systems in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The successful candidate will perform mission and system performance analyses to evaluate weapon system effectiveness, engagement performance, and operational capability across a range of threat scenarios.WHAT YOU'LL DOPerform performance analyses of Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system capabilities using modeling and simulation toolsDevelop and execute analytical methodologies to evaluate system effectiveness, interceptor performance, engagement outcomes, and mission successDesign, develop, and maintain analytical tools using MATLAB and PythonConduct statistical analyses, sensitivity studies, Monte Carlo simulations, and trade-space assessments to support engineering and program decisionsAnalyze large datasets generated from missile defense simulations to identify trends, assess system performance, and recommend improvementsDevelop technical reports, presentations, and data visualizations that clearly communicate analytical results to government and contractor leadershipCollaborate with systems engineers, modeling and simulation teams, software developers, and subject matter experts to define analysis approaches and performance metricsSupport design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer briefingsMaintain analytical documentation and ensure consistency of modeling assumptions and methodologies.WHAT YOU'LL BRINGMaster's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 12+ years of relevant experienceActive DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance, which requires U.S. CitizenshipDemonstrated experience supporting MDA GMD programsAdvanced proficiency in MATLAB, including model development, data analysis, and visualizationProficiency with Python, including scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and MatplotlibExperience evaluating missile defense (MD) engagement performance, interceptor effectiveness, mission performance, or system operational capabilityStrong understanding of statistical analysis, numerical methods, optimization techniques, and simulation-based performance assessmentExperience interpreting simulation outputs and translating analytical findings into actionable engineering recommendationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting technical analyses to government customers and senior leadershipSome travel is required.Ready to make your mark on the mission?APPLY TODAY!!SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS • EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) EMPLOYERReasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
