Clinical Director Neuro Institute

Overview We provide strategic and operational leadership for assigned clinical departments and/or units, ensuring excellence in 24/7 patient‑centered care delivery. The Clinical Director guides and develops Associates, optimizes resource utilization, and fosters a collaborative high‑performing work environment. The role advances patient outcomes, service excellence, and financial performance while exemplifying the MLH Mission, Vision and Values. What You Will Do Clinical Operations Leadership: Provides 24/7 accountability for assigned service areas, leads initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement performance improvement strategies based on clinical and satisfaction metrics. Associate & Team Management: Recruits, mentors, evaluates nursing staff and Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs), coaches PCCs in effective leadership, drives associate engagement and retention, oversees staffing models, scheduling, and resource allocation. Fiscal Stewardship: Participates in annual budget planning, monitors financial performance, analyzes variances, implements corrective actions, and uses data to inform growth and service development. Environmental & Business Operations: Maintains regulatory and accreditation readiness, identifies and addresses environmental and equipment needs, leads implementation of new technologies and operational projects. Professional Practice Leadership: Serves as a role model for nursing professionalism, pursues advanced certifications, participates in professional organizations, champions evidence‑based practice, and fosters lifelong learning. Education / Formal Training Requirements Required – Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred – Master’s Degree in Nursing Work Experience Requirements Required – 3‑5 years acute care experience in a clinical environment Licenses and Certifications Required – Registered Nurse, State of Tennessee (Tennessee Board of Nursing) Required – Basic Life Support, American Heart Association Preferred – Nursing Administration board certification or national certification in a clinical specialty Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strategic Leadership – Advanced leadership capabilities including strategic thinking, change management, and team empowerment. Operational Agility – Managing multiple priorities, organizing complex workflows, and maintaining operational control in dynamic clinical environments. Data‑Driven Decision Making – Interpreting clinical and operational data, analyzing trends, drawing actionable insights, and developing evidence‑based improvement plans. Technology Proficiency – Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with healthcare information systems and analytics platforms. Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements include medium work—exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform tasks such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact, exposure to patient body fluids, hazardous or poisonous materials, and ability to react quickly to emergency situations are expected. #J-18808-Ljbffr
