Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

As a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at MedStar Health, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients and their newborns in a dynamic, patient-first environment. Responsibilities include continuous maternal–fetal assessment, interpreting fetal monitoring, administering medications and epidurals per protocol, and responding rapidly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies. You will educate and support families through labor, birth, and early postpartum recovery, promoting breastfeeding and safe newborn care. Working within a collaborative, interprofessional team, you will document accurately in the EMR, uphold quality and safety standards, and contribute to a culture that values learning, innovation, and community-focused care.
