Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant . You will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location: Huntingdon Valley, PA Key Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Prepare and post routine and adjusting journal entries. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed, including invoice processing, cash applications, and collections support. Assist with preparation of financial statements, management reports, and various accounting schedules. Review and analyze account activity to identify variances, errors, and unusual transactions. Maintain accurate supporting documentation and organized accounting records. Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other recurring accounting entries. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as needed. Assist with audit requests and provide documentation to internal and external auditors. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and GAAP . Research accounting issues and assist with implementing appropriate resolutions. Perform ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience; public accounting or corporate accounting experience a plus. Strong understanding of general accounting principles and GAAP. Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP. Experience with an ERP or accounting system such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
