About the Opportunity
A growing residential housing organization is seeking a customer-focused Leasing Consultant to support occupancy goals and deliver an exceptional experience for prospective and current residents. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, sales, customer service, and helping people find their next home.

The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for guiding prospects through the leasing process, maintaining resident relationships, supporting marketing efforts, and assisting with daily community operations.

Compensation
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.


Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales

• Conduct tours of available homes and community amenities for prospective residents.
• Respond promptly to phone, email, online, and in-person inquiries.
• Qualify prospective residents and identify housing needs.
• Explain lease terms, rental policies, and community amenities.
• Process applications, verify documentation, and assist with applicant approvals.
• Prepare lease agreements and coordinate move-in activities.
• Follow up with prospective residents to maximize occupancy opportunities.
• Support lease renewal efforts and resident retention initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions and competitive housing communities.

Resident Relations

• Serve as a primary point of contact for resident questions and concerns.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through professional and responsive service.
• Assist with resident engagement activities and community events.
• Support a welcoming and customer-focused community environment.

Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate resident files and leasing records.
• Enter and update information within property management systems.
• Assist with rent payment processing and administrative reporting.
• Distribute notices, communications, newsletters, and community updates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, housing regulations, and fair housing requirements.

Marketing & Outreach

• Participate in community outreach and local marketing initiatives.
• Support social media, referral, and advertising efforts to generate leads.
• Conduct market research and competitive property surveys.
• Assist with promotional campaigns and resident referral programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, leasing, hospitality, retail, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leasing, property management, or residential housing experience.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and leasing practices.
• Experience with property management software systems.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
• Experience in customer-facing sales environments with performance goals.
