Logistics Dispatcher

We are a well-established organization seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to join our logistics team. This role is crucial for ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments are handled accurately, safely, and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will optimize our transportation network, manage carrier relationships, and collaborate closely with internal operations teams to seamlessly align logistics with production schedules.

• Position Type: Full-Time / Hourly

• Environment: Fast-paced, requiring both independent initiative and close team collaboration.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

• Schedule: Monday – Friday

• Hours: Standard shifts are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Subject to change based on business and operational needs)

Responsibilities

• Logistics & Routing: Oversee inbound and outbound transportation; develop and maintain policies, schedules, and routing systems to maximize fleet efficiency.

• Efficiency Optimization: Implement strategies to reduce delays, improve freight efficiency, and analyze traffic patterns for continuous process improvements.

• Shipment Coordination: Schedule and oversee the loading and unloading of shipments to minimize transit and dock delays.

• Team Collaboration: Partner with internal production and operations teams to align traffic management with daily operational schedules.

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with carriers and freight companies to ensure competitive, cost-effective shipping.

• Fleet & Driver Administration: Plan driver vacations, manage scheduling books, and handle run-change assignments; ensure preventive vehicle maintenance is performed on time.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict compliance with all safety, hazmat, and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements; report and investigate all incidents promptly.

• Customer Service & Admin: Resolve customer service complaints or concerns efficiently and maintain accurate, up-to-date logs, forms, and paperwork.
