Job Description
Operating Room Nurse (RN)

As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in patient care during surgical procedures. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and effective leadership in preparing for the care of patients in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other personnel to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Monitor and ensure the availability of necessary surgical supplies.
• Assist in the timely execution of surgical cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding care and procedures.
• Update and maintain physician preference cards to streamline surgical processes.
• Scrub and assist during surgical procedures as required.
• Supervise and mentor personnel involved in delivering patient care.
• Float between multiple locations within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with Cerner EMR.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the operating room.
• Experience in various service lines, including General, Urology, Spine, GYN, Orthopedic, Plastics, Breast, and Robotics.
• Must obtain AHCA fingerprinting clearance prior to starting the position.

Schedule

This position typically involves day shifts, with expectations of coverage for holidays and call duties as necessary.
