The Phlebotomist III - Floater represents the face of the organization by providing professional patient care and specimen collection services.

This role is responsible for drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting multiple locations based on business needs.

The position requires excellent phlebotomy skills, strong customer service abilities, and flexibility to travel between sites.

Requirement/Must Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent patient interaction and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call schedules.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills.

Experience:

• 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience in Patient Service Center environments preferred.
• Retail or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with forensic and clinical specimen collection preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collection and specimen processing following established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
• Maintain required documentation and records.
• Provide professional and compassionate patient interactions.
• Support multiple patient service locations as needed.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility to cover various locations with minimal notice.
• Promote a positive image with patients, clients, and staff.

Should Have:

• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and environments.
