Director, RA Global Regulatory Strategy
AbbVie
Director-level regulatory affairs role leading global strategy development and market approval efforts for neuroscience products. Manages cross-functional teams, regulatory dossiers, and lifecycle management while serving as primary interface with regulatory agencies and internal leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead Global Regulatory Product Team in developing creative strategies aligned with regulations and business objectives
- Direct preparation and maintenance of global regulatory product strategies and risk mitigation plans
- Interface with labeling and clinical teams to ensure strategic messaging in regulatory dossiers and agency responses
- Proactively identify and mitigate regulatory risks; represent regulatory position to executive management and governance
- Mentor GRPT members and contribute to performance management of regulatory affairs team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences (pharmacy, biology, chemistry, pharmacology) or related field
- 7+ years regulatory experience including drug development in US and other regions
- 5+ years strategic leadership with project management in matrix environments
- Strong global regulatory strategy development and implementation experience
- Proven cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influencing skills
- Preferred: 10+ years pharmaceutical regulatory experience across multiple major regions
