As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Team in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions or behavior.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor movement, and documenting security-related incidents in required reports.
• Support public-facing operations by communicating with local staff, visitors, and first responders, and/or assisting with evacuation, lockdown, or other emergency procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
