Registered Nurse I - Correctional Health
Schedule: Shifts: 5x8s, 2:00 PM10:00 PM - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 2652 weeks
Requirements: Valid NY State registered professional nurse license, BLS certification, COVID-19 vaccine (medical exemptions only)
Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct health assessments and develop nursing care plans. Provide treatments and administer medications as needed. Educate patients about health management and treatment plans. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning. Supervise GNs, LPNs, and direct care staff.
Compliance / Notes: Must clear the state-run Criminal History Form before starting (clearance can take up to 4 weeks). Required documentation must be presented at the time of submission. Returning staff must have been out of any NY State facility for at least 2 years before reassigning.
