Senior Plasma Center Technician

Role Summary At BioLife, we offer a part‑time Phlebotomist role designed for donors. You will work 4‑6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week, within a supportive, flexible training program. Responsibilities Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor. Perform venipuncture and program the plasmapheresis machine. Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions. Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within scope of training. Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on the plasmapheresis machines. Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal. Take and record donor vital signs and monitor the electronic donor questionnaire system. Perform finger sticks, test samples, and record hematocrit, total protein, and weight. Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS). Coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system. Support center management in identifying operational improvement opportunities and initiating changes using company‑approved procedures such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to walk or stand for entire shift. Works evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders, and reach below knees. Can lift up to 5 lbs, and occasionally up to 32 lbs (rarely 50 lbs). Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and auditory detection of equipment. May involve prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogen exposure (risk level 1). At least 1 year of experience in a customer or patient‑facing role preferred. Benefits & Compensation Location: USA – IN – Greenwood. Hourly wage: $17.00 (subject to local minimum wage and additional incentives).
