Experience this chance to utilize and expand your skill set while working with a solid and knowledgeable team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Will help ensure the efficient operations of the machinery and mechanical equipmentComplete PM's as neededWill trouble shoot electrical problems including PLC'sPerforms building maintenance as neededAssists in the controlling of downtime by keeping production informed of potential issuesPerforms all work in a safe manner and follows all Company and Regulatory standardsCommunicates effectively with team membersInstall, assemble and test new machines and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.QualificationsMinimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:High School diploma or GED requiredMaintenance or equivalent certification or continued relative education preferredOne to three years of relative experience in a manufacturing environment preferredMust be knowledgeable of interaction of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systemsExcellent mechanical troubleshooting skills neededSkills and Abilities:Basic shop math skills. Must be able to pass pre-employment tests.Basic computer and communications skills needed.Equipment Selection -- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.Repairing -- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Equipment Maintenance -- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Active Learning -- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.Judgment and Decision Making -- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Operation Monitoring -- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations :A valid driver's license is preferred.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
